My name is James Ward. I am originally from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, once known as the Steel capital of the world; and I now reside in the nation's energy capital of Houston Texas. I moved to Houston in 2003.
I am a graduate from the Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Real Estate/Finance. Upon graduating in 1988, I became a Licensed Real Estate Appraiser, valuating and evaluating both commercial and residential properties throughout the United States. In 1999, I decided to pursue a career in mortgage banking and originating as the result of my passion to help and educate people about real estate and residential mortgages given my degree of knowledge in real estate and financing.
My experience in the mortgage industry began in 1999 as Founder, President and part owner of a Mortgage Company in Pittsburgh. I resigned my duties with the Company in 2003 as a result of my relocation to the City of Houston. In January 2004, I joined Fairway Independent Mortgage Corp as Branch Manager of the Houston Texas office. My motto is simple - treat people how you want to be treated and the seeds you sow will be your reward.
I believe my experiences in all facets of real estate have provided me extensive knowledge in mortgage lending. As a result, I am consistently recognized as a Top Mortgage Originator in Houston Texas serving individual and Builder clients. I am awarded the prestigious President's Club with Fairway IMC and Top 1% of Mortgage Originators nationwide and honored to be consistently sought out to represent the clients of the top producing real estate agents throughout the nation's energy capital of Houston Texas.
As a Certified Mortgage Advisor, a Certified Reverse Mortgage Specialist and designated Military Mortgage Specialist with Fairway IMC, my holistic approach to educating my clients about mortgage financing helps my clients in choosing the best mortgage solution for the purchase or refinance of their home given their "short" and "long" term over-all financial goals.
My professional core purpose is to serve the clients entrusted to our care by providing residential home mortgage solutions that lead to the American dream of home ownership. The home is where memories of a lifetime are created – because kids need a yard!
